Help: Installation
First you should download the program from the
download page. The file is packed into a ZIP archive that you normally should be able to unpack with your computer. If you can not open the file, we recommend the free program 7-Zip which also can handle many other files. You can download this software from the page
7-zip.org for free.
After you have unpacked the program, you can already use it. An installation is not required. If you nevertheless would like to make a shortcut for the program, simply click with the right mouse button on the icon and choose "make shortcut". You can move this shortcut to an arbitrary place on your computer.
The software is offered in the languages English and German. You get the respective version on the pages
sttmedia.de (German) and
sttmedia.com (English). It is also possible to change the language during runtime. You can find this function in the settings menu. If you put a file with the name "de" or "en" (without content or file extension) in the application folder, the application will start in the corresponding language.
To facilitate the handling of different configurations, it is possible to register the file extension *.bkg. Then you only need to click on the appropriate file and the image converter opens in the appropriate configuration (with all previously saved settings). This step is optional and not required to be able to use the program. You can set up the registry of the file extension at run time in the program itself. It can be found in the menu "Settings > Shortcuts with Files and Folders". In this menu, which is explained on the page
shortcuts, it is also possible to create shortcuts with files (for example the supported
formats) or folders, so that it is possible to open and work on complete folders of images very easily without opening the program before.
