Help: Installation
First you should download the program from the download page. The file is packed into a ZIP archive that you normally should be able to unpack with your computer. If you can not open the file, we recommend the free program 7-Zip which also can handle many other files. You can download this software from the page 7-zip.org for free.
After you have unpacked the program, you can already use it. An installation is not required. If you nevertheless would like to make a shortcut for the program, simply click with the right mouse button on the icon and choose "make shortcut". You can move this shortcut to an arbitrary place on your computer.
Save Settings
Everyone has a different idea of how a program should be structured. Some may prefer to maximize the window, some like it in the normal state, some prefer the search open, others only want to see it in use. The Easy MP3 Player alows it, to save a specific state of the application or to use the default settings. The settings are saved to the file mp3player.ini in the application folder. If you do not want to save any settings, this file is not created.
The file can be created in two ways. Either manually (Settings > Save Settings) or automatically (Settings > Save Settings automatically). If the automatic saving is activated, the current application state is stored when closing the application.
Also the loading of the settings can be done in two ways. By activating the auto-function (Settings > Load Settings automatically), the state of the application is loaded automatically when starting the program, as long as the file mp3player.ini is in the application folder. On the other hand you can load the settings manually (Settings > Load Settings).
The automatic loading and saving is not the default setting. If this option is desired, you must use the previously mentioned methods for one time, to create the file.
Link Playlists
To make dealing with the playlists easier, it is possibly to register the file ending *.emp. After that you only need to click on the corresponding file and it is opened in the Easy MP3 Player. This step, however, is not required to be able to use the program. Any time at runtime you can establish or take back this registration with "Settings" > "Shortcuts with Files and Folders". Here you can also register other file types with the player or you can create shortcuts for any file, folder or in the "Send to" context menu of files. On the page shortcuts you can read more information about that.
Language
The software is offered in the languages English and German. You receive the respective version on the pages sttmedia.de (German) and sttmedia.com (English). However, every single version can be switched over about the menu bar in the respectively other language during the running time and in addition, it is possible to start an arbitrary version in English or in German if there is a file named "de" or "en" (without any ending or contents) in the application folder.
