Below you can see a table showing the frequencies of letters, as they occur in the English language. This list was created with the character counter, which is integrated in the WordCreator. Basis of this list was an English text with 2.101.261 characters (380.703 words), 1.648.624 characters was used for the counting. The text consists of a good mix of different literary genres. Of course, if another text was used as a basis, the result would be slightly different.

The left list is sorted according to the letters, the right list in accordance with the frequency of the letters. Accordingly, the letters E, T and A are the most common letters in the English language.
