Menu
On this page you will find an overview of all menu items of PrintMyFonts with an explanation of the respective function. An explanation of the functions of other program parts of PrintMyFonts can be found in the function overview.
- File > Print (CTRL+P): Opens the print dialog to print out the current font list.
- File > Save (CTRL+S): Saves the current font list in the export format that is selected in the main window.
- File > Save as (SHIFT+CTRL+S): Opens a dialog from which it is possible to select an export format and to start the export process. This function is equal to selecting a format from the main window and click on the button "Save" in the main window.
- File > Font-Tester (CTRL+T): Opens a window to try out fonts. You can write or copy any text into the text field of the window and determine whether the font should be displayed bold, italic or underlined as well as in which font size. You can select the font by clicking on a font in the list of the main window.
- File > Exit (ESC): Closes the entire program PrintMyFonts.
- Font List > Reload (CTRL+R): Loads all fonts of your system and / or the fonts from the added font files into the font list. This feature can be used if you wish to have the fonts back into the list, you have deleted before.
- Font List > Remove Selected: Deletes the item or items from the list, that are currently selected. This makes it possible to create an output of only a selection of fonts.
- Font List > Remove Not Selected: This function makes it possible to delete all fonts from your list that are currently not selected. Sometimes it is easier to just select the fonts that you want to have in your list in order to remove all others to get the list you want.
- Font List > Add Fonts from Font Files (CTRL+O): Opens a dialog to select font files in order to add the corresponding fonts to the font list. Added font files can be managed in the window "Manage Font Files".
- Font List > Add Folder with Font Files (CTRL+D): Opens a dialog to select folders to open the font files contained therein in order to add the corresponding fonts to the font list. Added font files can be managed in the window "Manage Font Files".
- Font List > Manage Font Files (CTRL+M): Opens the window in which you can manage fonts from files. This window is explained in the section manage font files.
- Font List > Settings: Opens the settings regarding the font list. An explanation can be found in the description about settings.
- Settings > Font Style Filter / Font List / Export Print - Image - Document - HTML: These settings are explained on the page settings.
- Settings > System Integration / File Associations: Here you can find some settings for linking files with PrintMyFonts or for configuring the Auto Start settings. You can find more information about that in the help section about System Integration.
- Settings > Language Settings: Opens the language settings to change and save the language of the program.
- Settings > Save or Load Settings: Here you can find the storage options as well as ways to save, load and delete settings. See the Introduction to Settings for an explanation.
- Settings > Reset Settings: Resets all settings to the default settings.
- Software: In this menu you will find information about other software from Stefan Trost Media. To open one of the links you can click on the respective menu item.
- Information: Here you can find some links for the software, such as the online help and you can get other information for the license and the program and a little help section.
- Info & Help: Over this menu, you can access a short introduction to the PrintMyFonts and get information about the license, contact options as well as important links and background information around the software.
