Arbitrary key combinations: Create HotKeys with arbitrary keyboard shortcuts and apply one or more Actions to them.
Open, copy, move, rename, delete and print files or folders: Use the actions for opening files or folders with the default program on your system, for copying or moving arbitrary folders, and for renaming, printing or deleting files or folders.
Open, copy, move, rename, delete and print content of folders: The same actions can be used for the content of a folder. In this case, you can just specify the folder in order to open, copy, move, rename, print or delete the containing files.
Copy or cut files, folders or folder contents to clipboard: You can define single files, entire folders or the content of a folder to copy or cut them to clipboard.
Create folders: Create arbitrary folders with actions.
Create text files: Create text files with arbitrary content using actions.
Copy text to clipboard: With this action, you can copy an arbitrary text to the clipboard.
Paste from Clipboard: You can paste the current or just set clipboard content to each window having the focus.
Open website: Using the action "Open Website", you can specify one or more Internet addresses / URLs that will be opened in your default browser.
Download files: Using the action "Download File" you are able to download a file to your computer or process the file further using your Action List.
Execute programs: With the action "Execute Program", it is possible to execute an arbitrary external application. If you want, you can optionally also pass parameters to this program. For example, you can use the placeholder for the last file in order to pass the last file processed with Faster Files to the program.
Wait: The action "Wait" interrupts the execution of the action list for the specified time.
Placeholders: In all actions, placeholders can be used. There are placeholders for example for the current date and time, the last file, the last folder, the current content of the clipboard on the folder of the last file. With this, you are making your action lists more dynamic.
One or more Action Lists: You can add only one or even multiple lists of actions (Action Lists) to one HotKey. If you create a HotKey with only one Action List, this list will be executed directly after pressing the keyboard shortcut. If you assign multiple lists to your HotKey, a selection window will be displayed in which you can select and thereby execute one of the assigned lists.
Sub folders in Action Lists: Optionally, it is possible to create Action Lists with subfolders. Especially when handling very long lists, grouping your lists to topics is a good way to make the execution and selection faster and clearer.
Activate and deactivate: HotKeys, Action Lists and Actions can be enabled and disabled (also for a short time). Such points will be displayed grayed within the program.
Individual HotKey-Window: If multiple action lists are assigned to one HotKey, a selection window, the HotKey Window will be displayed. This window can be individualized in several points: for example, you can adjust the position, the width, the height, the line height and the text alignment.
HotKey-Storage: FasterFiles is able to store your HotKeys to single files or to one file depending on the settings. Additionally, you can define arbitrary directorys as storage locations. You can store the HotKeys to one of those locations and at start up, FasterFiles will load all HotKeys stored in those locations.
Unicode Support: In all functions dealing with strings, folders or file names, you can use arbitrary Unicode characters. So, you can also use FasterFiles to work with Chinese, Cyrillic, Greek or other characters.
No bad investment: Even with the Basic Version of FasterFiles, you can use all types of actions, there is only a limitation of the number of HotKeys, Action Lists and Actions that can be used at the same time. So, you can test the software like you want before buying any Pro Version.
Portable Software (No installation required): The program is working without installation out of an arbitrary folder. This spares your registry and you can immediately use it.
